Other adventures.

We went to the children's museum and the zoo as well and had a grand time. I didn't haul my big camera everywhere, but we LOVED having our cousins here. The last night Abby and I stayed up and had a nice visit. It seemed that with all the kids we didn't get a lot of adult time in this visit. I don't mind - they will not be this small and cute and cuddly for very long. Poor Abby was sick and ended up driving home in a snowstorm and getting an ear infection. Poor trade off for a vacation. Thank you for making the effort to come. We were so glad to have everyone here.

Pookie and Buzz stayed longer and we went to an airplane museum with a picnic lunch. We got to attend Andrew's drop party on base. Friday we went to the family Easter party and Pookie helped me cook a big Easter dinner for my kids at the crisis center. Thanks, Mom, you are the best!
Here are the Easter egg hunt pictures:

Mud Pies

We worked hard at keeping the kids busy and wearing them out. Saturday we did a base tour and let the kids play at the play area while we grocery shopped. Sunday we went to church - the nursery doubled in size! :o) Monday we went to the nature center for their preschool activity day. Check out these little troublemakers: Toys to play with:

Painting, crafts and other activities to do:

Gavin made a turtle all by himself.
Can you see the head, the shell, the feet and the tail? We were pretty impressed!
I think our busy boys had a GREAT time! We enjoyed watching and helping them play. They are growing up so quickly...

Getting ready for Pookie and Buzz to arrive!

The boys colored the door for them with special markers - they were VERY excited. Thank you, Pookie and Buzz, for making the trip to see all of us. We love you so much!

Cousins!

Gavin doing his funny little curly tongue thing he has been doing lately. He loved having 3 babies in the house to dote over. (Abby's roommate and her 5 mo. old daughter visited, too.)

Stick in my foot and other adventures.

Last night after youth group I was carrying a box across a lawn in the dark in my flipflops. I got my foot impaled on a stick and part of it broke off in my foot. Oww! This morning I think Seth wanted to feel my pain because he dropped the bed knob from our bed on his toe and somehow tore it open. Double Oww! We have been working on getting the house back in order and ready for round 2 of company today. We finished all the laundry for the week and put it away! Yay! Then we were working on the garden outside. The neighborhood kids have been coming over to help and play. Today we were up to 4 extras. It is really great, and I am starting to feel like the Pied Piper. I love getting to know our neighbors and be a part of the neighborhood. Now to just get all my garden beds in. :o)! Off for dinner time and giving piano lessons tonight. Please keep praying for Jason. He is in a LOT of pain and scared because he realizes he can't breathe. Thanks!

Pray Hard.

Some of you may remember Baby Jay. Andrea lived with us in Ohio, and Jason is her nephew who was born about 6 weeks after Seth. He was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type I as an infant and was not expected to make it to his first birthday. He has been a real fighter with a cheerful personality and sunny smile and made it through a lot of tough spots before, but is back in the hospital. The last medical update I had was that he has both lungs full of fluid and is on oxygen and morphine with a 40% chance of making it, and seeming to get worse by the moment. Andrea is far from him right now and trying to get a plane ticket home. Please pray for this brave little boy.
