Ta-Da!
The room is complete (minus paintings or decals of airplanes and a train on the hills under the bunkbed - those will be individual projects if I am hand-painting them.) The view from the doorway:
The reading pasture and the inside of the hut - yes, I know there isn't a fire in the fireplace yet. :o)!
The cars are little pegboards so the boys can hang up their African necklaces and capes in their room.
The gutter bookshelves (we have to reattach the bottom one.) And the lights are from my friend Lindsay - bought for the boys room at a garage sale last year! :o)!

Painting again.
So I am trying to paint in the sky - half on the wall, half on the popcorn ceiling - and make it look good on both surfaces. I don't know what I think. It is a lot of work. I think it looks okay so far. I need clouds so I can 'hide' the glow in the dark stars on them for nighttime. Here is a preview of things to come:

Busy Crazy Week
So I figured out that the Ikea kitchen sale was about to end, and we would be able to save $ by buying all our cabinets from there. I spent a decent amount of time redesigning our kitchen and found a layout I liked. The plan was for me to drive to MN and get our new kitchen cabinets, celebrate birthday lunch with Aunt Linda, and drive back with as much would fit into our van as possible. I had Andrew double measure for me, and we started looking at some details that could turn into real problems. We decided we better hold on quick decision making to make sure we get what we really need/want. So we went hiking as a family on Saturday. I started not feelling well. Sunday I was feeling awful, so I was out of it for the whole day. Andrew was awesome taking care of feeding the boys and running to the store so I had easy food to feed the kiddos today. He had his first hockey game last night! He had a lot of fun and is looking forward to playing in this league all winter long. Today I took time to get myself showered and dressed nicely. I put most of my garden to bed for the winter - I just have to replant my spring bulbs. The boys were playing their friends were over to play, so I called and had Corine drop of Charity and Anika off for a few hours so she could get some cleaning done (this is week 2 w/ new baby and no help). Now for cleaning, organizing, and landry around our house... :o)!
Overheard.
"Daddy, why does it take girls longer to get ready than boys?"
"That is a good question - why don't you go ask your mother."
